Tim Thomas (40) has taken over the vacant position of Senior Vice President Marketing & Communications at IT consulting company Materna Information & Communications SE as of January 1, 2022. In this role, he expands the Executive Management Board of the Materna group and reports to CEO Martin Wibbe. Tim Thomas was previously Executive Vice President Marketing & Communications and a member of the management board at the market companion msg group in Munich.
With effect from December 22, 2021, the Materna group has acquired the Krefeld-based company TraffGo Road GmbH, which specializes in IT solutions for processing traffic data. Materna is successfully active in the market for mobility solutions and, together with TraffGo Road, has already developed the Verkehrszentrale Deutschland (VZD) for the Autobahn GmbH of the Federal Government, which will coordinate traffic management nationwide in the future - together with the eight other traffic centers. With the acquisition of TraffGo Road, Materna is sustainably expanding its position in this market segment and addressing customers such as federal authorities, state administrations as well as cities and municipalities in a joint market approach.
